Cheri found herself on Christmas Day 2007, surrounded by her loved ones, searching for a small thrill amidst a sink full of dishes, toys of all manner strewn about the place, and battery-operated votive candles gracing the mantel.
And, lo, with laptops open and screens all aglow, the glory of the Internet shone about them! And Cheri was so inspired. She looked at her family and said unto them, ‘Fear not! For, behold, I have a plan that will bring you great joy. For unto you is born this day, right here at our kitchen table, a blog.”
And she said unto them, “Ye shall find the blog on the internets, and anyone in the family may add his or her stories, quotes, photos, and insights. Therefore, our blog will contain the family jewels. It shall be called ‘familyjuliebox’ because when Laura was very little and looking for a lost ring, Kristen asked her where she’d last seen it and Laura said, ‘In my julie box.’ And because our family will blog together, there will be peace on Earth and good will toward men.”
